In Kyiv, two emergency crew mechanics who worked in the capital for two to three days without a break died due to excessive overload.
This was reported by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Kucherenko.
According to him, due to the shortage of emergency crews, specialists are working in an extremely exhausting mode and are practically falling into physical and mental exhaustion.
“Yesterday, two locksmiths simply died from wild overload. Many also suffered from frostbite,” Kucherenko noted in the post.
The MP emphasized that the situation in Kyiv is critical, as emergency services work in extreme conditions, ensuring the city’s vital activities despite the physical and emotional risks for the personnel.
As a reminder, a critical situation continues in Kyiv due to Russian attacks : according to Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko, about 600,000 residents left the capital after the attacks on January 9.
As reported, on the night of Tuesday, January 20, Russia carried out another attack on Kyiv . An air alert was declared in the capital at 01:30 — the reason was the threat of the use of strike drones. Later, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned Kyiv residents of a possible launch of ballistic missiles.
It later became known that after the nighttime Russian attack on Kyiv on January 20, during which missiles and drones were used, more than 5,600 multi-storey buildings were left without heat supply . Most of them — about 80% — are residential buildings where heat was only recently restored after the shelling on January 9.
