Two explosions were heard near a residential building in Bucha: police officers were injured

On the morning of March 23, two unknown objects exploded near an apartment building in Bucha , Kyiv Oblast . Two law enforcement officers were injured in the incident.

This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the Kyiv Regional Police .

Around 5:35 a.m., a local resident contacted the police to report an explosion on the street. The blast wave damaged the windows of her home.

When police, rescue workers, and bomb disposal experts arrived at the scene, another explosion occurred. As a result, two law enforcement officers sustained moderate injuries and were hospitalized.

While there is no threat to their lives, they will continue to undergo outpatient treatment.

The area around the incident has been cordoned off, and an investigation is underway for other explosive devices. Police have preliminarily classified the incident as a terrorist attack.

The head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnik, urged residents to exercise caution and avoid approaching suspicious objects, but to immediately report them to the appropriate authorities.

As a reminder, Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction, said the terrorist attack in Lviv has re-ignited public debate about anonymous platforms. She noted that EU MPs have long been demanding the de-anonymization of Telegram, but the authorities have blocked the relevant bill.

Incidentally, the head of the OP, Kirill Budanov, stated that the decision to regulate Telegram’s operations should be made at least for the duration of the war .
