Two more months of detention: the Supreme Court of Criminal Appeals extended Halushchenko’s preventive measure

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine extended the preventive measure for the former Minister of Energy.
This was reported by the press service of the VAKS.
According to Ukrinform , this concerns the former head of the Ministry of Energy, Herman Galushchenko, who is suspected of involvement in corruption in the energy sector.
“The investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court extended the term of the preventive measure in the form of detention for the former Minister of Energy of Ukraine for two months,” the VAKS report states.
At the same time, there is a possibility of paying bail. According to the court’s decision, its amount is UAH 200 million. In the event of paying the funds, the defendant will be subject to a number of procedural obligations.
Recall that former Minister of Energy and Justice Herman Galushchenko was officially declared a suspect in the “Midas” case. He was detained while trying to leave the territory of Ukraine , the investigation is ongoing.
As reported, on February 17, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko.
By the way, former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko complained about his alleged illegal detention.
