On the night of December 24, two employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs were killed on Yeletska Street in Moscow. They had previously participated in the war against Ukraine and were involved in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war.

This was reported by sources in the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, RBC-Ukraine reports.

According to intelligence sources, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. A local resident, who, according to sources, was acting in protest against the Kremlin’s aggressive policies, approached a police car parked near the station and threw an explosive device into the passenger compartment.

The explosion killed two Russian police officers on the spot. Two others were seriously injured and hospitalized.

The GUR notes that the deceased employees of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs had previously fought against Ukraine as part of the occupation units of the Russian army. There is also evidence of their participation in the torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war, which is a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions and international humanitarian law.

As a reminder, on the night of December 24, a car exploded in Moscow under unclear circumstances. The incident occurred on Yaseneva Street, the same street where the car of Major General of the Russian Armed Forces Fanil Sarvarov was blown up a few days ago.
