Tyumen Refinery in Russia Completely Stopped After UAV Attack – Media

The Tyumen oil refinery of the RI-Invest company completely stopped oil refining and production of petroleum products after a drone attack on July 25.
This was reported by Reuters, citing industry sources.
According to the agency’s interlocutors, as a result of the impact, a diesel fuel hydrotreating unit with a capacity of 2.6 million tons per year caught fire at the enterprise.
The combined high-octane gasoline production plant also suffered significant damage. It includes a reforming unit with continuous catalyst regeneration with a capacity of 300 thousand tons per year and an isomerization unit with a capacity of 240 thousand tons per year.
Sources noted that it is currently difficult to estimate how long the gasoline production repair will take.
RI-Invest, which owns the Tyumen Refinery, did not provide Reuters with a comment on the situation.
The plant’s gasoline complex was put into operation in 2018. The total capacity of the enterprise is 9 million tons of oil per year. At the same time, in 2024, the refinery processed 5.7 million tons of oil, produced 500 thousand tons of motor gasoline and 2.8 million tons of diesel fuel.
It was previously reported that the Security Service of Ukraine confirmed strikes on two Russian oil depots in the Tver region and Stavropol Territory . The special operation was carried out on the night of July 9 with the aim of reducing the military-economic potential of the aggressor state.
