Ukraine has announced its readiness to hold a top-level meeting with Russia with the participation of international partners. This is a format of negotiations involving the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, Turkey, and, possibly, the United States.
This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs Andriy Sybiga.
According to him, Kyiv has already sent a corresponding signal to the Turkish side.
“We are ready for a meeting of leaders in Turkey in the format of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy – Putin, with the participation of Presidents Erdogan and Trump,” Sibiga noted.
He emphasized that Turkey plays an important role in peace initiatives and can become a platform for such negotiations.
Previously, Volodymyr Zelenskyy also stated his readiness for a personal meeting with Vladimir Putin, but emphasized that it should take place on neutral territory.
Thus, Ukraine is signaling openness to negotiations, but with the participation of international mediators and on clearly defined conditions.
As a reminder, the Kremlin announced “positive” dynamics for Russian troops at the front and linked it to the further progress of negotiations regarding the war.
As reported, the head of the Presidential Office, Kirill Budanov, stated that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia are gradually progressing and may lead to an agreement.
In addition, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine has agreed with the United States to hold a trilateral meeting to end the war, but the format of the negotiations has not yet been determined.
