European states and Ukraine are working together on a plan to end the war along the current front line.
This was reported by Bloomberg.
As it became known, the plan will consist of 12 points. The process of its implementation will be monitored by the peace council headed by US President Donald Trump.
The moment Russia, following Ukraine’s example, agrees to a ceasefire and both sides abandon territorial offensives, all children deported by the Russians and a prisoner exchange should take place.
According to the plan, Ukraine would receive security guarantees, funds for post-war reconstruction, and a path to rapid accession to the European Union.
In return, sanctions will be gradually lifted on the Russian side, but restrictions will be reinstated in the event of a second attack.
At the same time, about $300 billion in frozen Russian assets will be returned only after the Kremlin agrees to contribute to Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction.
It is also planned that Kyiv and Moscow will begin negotiations on the management of the occupied territories, despite the fact that neither Ukraine nor Europe recognize Russian control over any of the captured lands.
The plan is still being finalized and its details are subject to change, but any proposal would require U.S. approval.
Recall, during the meeting , Trump urged Zelensky to accept Russia’s conditions for ending the war and warned that Putin could “destroy” Ukraine if Kyiv did not agree.
