Ukraine and France signed a declaration on cooperation: what does it entail?

On Monday, November 17, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French leader Emmanuel Macron signed a declaration on cooperation in the defense sector.
This was reported by France24.
The agreement provides for the purchase of military equipment by Ukraine, including air defense systems, military aircraft, and missiles.
According to the publication’s interlocutor, the purpose of the document is to put French experience in the arms industry at the service of Ukraine’s defense and allow Kyiv to acquire the systems necessary to respond to Russian aggression.
In addition, at the French Villacoublay air base, Zelenskyy inspected Rafale fighters and their weapons, the next-generation SAMP-T air defense system, and several drone systems.
Earlier, France announced another package of military support for Ukraine , which includes the transfer of additional Mirage 2000 fighters and Aster missiles, intended to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system.
It was previously reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine is already negotiating with European partners who can help by providing long-range weapons .
