Ukraine and Germany discussed delivery terms for Patriot systems: details

Ukraine and Germany discussed the current status of a number of defense contracts, in particular the conditions and timing of the arrival of Patriot air defense systems.

This was reported to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

“For Ukraine, timing and understanding of deliveries and implementation of agreements are critically important. This allows us to clearly plan military operations and protect the civilian population and infrastructure,” Deputy Minister Serhiy Boev noted.

We also managed to develop mechanisms for establishing direct communication at the level of defense department commands.

In addition, representatives of the countries discussed the status and relevance of contracts related to the production of ammunition, missile defense systems, and long-range weapons.

Among other things, they considered steps to develop joint ventures, their financing, and capacity building.

Previously , Germany agreed to provide Ukraine with two more Patriot air defense systems after reaching an agreement with the United States to replace the transferred equipment.

Recall that the Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, which the US promised to transfer to Ukraine, will arrive in Germany no earlier than the spring of 2026 .
