Ukraine and Saudi Arabia plan to sign an agreement on airspace security during the visit of President Volodymyr Zelensky.
This is reported by Bloomberg.
According to the publication, the agreement will concern countering aerial threats, including drone attacks.
Ukraine offers its partners its experience in combating drones, gained during the war, in exchange for defense support.
Ukrainian military specialists are already working in Middle Eastern countries, helping to protect infrastructure from attacks. This includes consulting, training, and developing air defense systems.
According to journalists, Zelenskyy is accompanied on his trip by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, who has previously visited the region with a negotiating mission.
It was previously reported that the Saudi oil company Saudi Aramco is negotiating with Ukrainian manufacturers to purchase interceptor drones to protect oil fields from attacks by Iranian drones.
As a reminder, Ukraine has sent three teams of experts to the Middle East. They will work in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
