The Czech defense holding Czechoslovak Group plans to produce 150,000 NATO caliber ammunition in Ukraine in 2025.
The company’s external relations director, Jan Hamacek, reported this in an interview with LIGA.net.
CSG is cooperating with the Ukrainian enterprise “Ukrainian Armored Vehicles”. According to Hamachek, about 100 thousand will be 155-mm shells for NATO artillery, another 50 thousand – 105-mm ammunition.
The level of localization of production in Ukraine has already reached approximately 50%. The Ukrainian side manufactures the shell bodies and carries out the final assembly. CSG supplies the fuses and powder charges.
Hamachek emphasized that the company plans to increase localization to 80% and further expand production capabilities in Ukraine.
As previously reported, the Ministry of Defense allocated an additional UAH 2.1 billion for the purchase of drones and equipment for combat brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through the DOT-Chain Defence marketplace.
As a reminder, the country will receive over $70 million in additional military support from the governments of Australia and New Zealand.
