Ukraine and the Netherlands signed a memorandum on joint production of drones

On Friday, October 11, Ukraine and the Kingdom of the Netherlands officially agreed on the joint production of drones. The corresponding memorandum was signed during the visit to Kyiv of the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans.
This is stated in a statement from the President’s Office.
“During today’s meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Ruben Brekelmans, we discussed the development of joint production of drones and the implementation of the initiative and cooperation in this matter with the Netherlands,” the head of state said.
The President emphasized that the signing of the memorandum was “a new important step in our defense cooperation with the Netherlands” and noted it as “one of the promising areas of bilateral cooperation.”
Zelensky also thanked the Dutch government for its support, which has already exceeded $9 billion since the start of the full-scale invasion.
As a reminder, earlier, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced a new military assistance package for Ukraine worth 500 million euros.
The Netherlands also stated its readiness to significantly strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system , in particular by supplying elements for Patriot complexes. According to Brekelmans, Russia seeks to break Ukraine’s resistance through massive air strikes, but the allies will not allow the aggressor to realize this intention.
