President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has agreed with the United States to hold a trilateral meeting to end the war, but the format of the talks has not yet been determined.

He announced this during the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.

According to the head of state, various dialogue formats are currently being agreed upon. Specifically, the option of holding a three-party meeting or a separate format, whereby the American delegation would first visit Ukraine and then travel to other partners, is being considered.

Zelensky noted that preliminary talks were postponed due to the escalating situation in the Middle East, and the final contact took place via video link.

The president separately emphasized that work is underway to provide security guarantees for Ukraine after the end of the war.

Among the key issues that need to be addressed, he named funding for the Ukrainian army in the post-war period, provision of air defense systems, as well as the United States’ response to possible repeated aggression from Russia.

According to Zelensky, these are the issues that remain the most difficult in the negotiation process.
