Ukraine calls on Poland to investigate attack on Ukrainians in Wroclaw

The Consulate General of Ukraine in Wroclaw has appealed to Polish law enforcement agencies to promptly and comprehensively investigate the attack on a Ukrainian couple that occurred in Wroclaw.

This is stated in a statement by the diplomatic institution published on Facebook.

The consulate emphasized that cases of violence and aggression against Ukrainian citizens have recently become more frequent in Poland, and each such incident should receive a proper legal assessment.

“We are forced to state that recently cases of violence and aggression have become more frequent in Poland, the victims of which are citizens of Ukraine. Each such case requires a thorough investigation and proper legal assessment,” the statement says.

The diplomatic mission noted that they are keeping the situation under control and are awaiting the results of the investigation by Polish law enforcement agencies.

Earlier it was reported that a Ukrainian girl and her boyfriend were brutally beaten in a store in Wroclaw. According to the victim’s mother, the conflict could have arisen because of the Ukrainian accent. Both victims were injured and hospitalized. Currently, the Polish police are establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
