Ukraine counts on new aid from Germany: details of the meeting

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi met with the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr, General Carsten Breuer. During the conversation, he thanked Germany for its constant military, financial, and humanitarian support to Ukraine.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian side separately emphasized the importance of German anti-aircraft systems, which effectively shoot down Russian ballistic missiles and save the lives of civilians every day. The Ukrainian military also informed General Breuer about the situation on the front line and how the Russians are trying to inflict maximum blows on energy infrastructure on the eve of winter. The General Staff emphasized that strengthening air defense remains a priority.

Ukraine counts on Germany’s continued support and highly appreciates its solidarity in the fight for freedom and security in Europe.

As previously reported, the European Union remains the main donor of Ukrainian defense, and Poland will provide Ukraine with an additional $100 million by the end of the year to purchase American weapons and strengthen its defense capabilities.

Recall that the Netherlands is ready to provide Ukraine with an additional 1-1.5 billion euros for the production of drones this year.
