Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko said that a reduction in the duration of outages is expected in Ukraine this weekend.
She wrote about this in Telegram following the results of the energy headquarters meeting.
In particular, the official heard reports on the state of the power system. Also during the meeting, actions were coordinated to restore after the shelling, ensure the necessary reserves of fuel and equipment, protect facilities, increase generation, and provide the population with electricity.
“I am monitoring the implementation of the Government’s decision to revise the list of critical infrastructure. We expect actual optimization of electricity consumption on the ground from all OVAs,” Svyrydenko emphasized.
In addition, emphasis was placed on connecting cogeneration plants to the general grid. The government adopted the necessary decisions on this last week.
At the same time, the Prime Minister announced an instruction to ministries and regional military administrations to prepare alternative power sources for all life support facilities.
“Our goal is for people to have light. We expect the duration of outages to decrease this weekend,” she concluded.
As a reminder, on the night of December 11, Russian troops struck energy infrastructure in the Poltava and Odessa regions.
