Ukraine for the first time received a full package of conditions for EU accession

The Ukrainian delegation in Brussels received from the European Union the conditions for accession under the three final negotiation clusters.

This was reported by the Prime Minister of Ukraine , Yulia Svyrydenko.

These are clusters 3 “ Competitiveness and Inclusive Development”, 4 “ Green Agenda and Sustainable Connectivity” and 5 “ Resources , Agriculture and Cohesion Policy ” .

Thus , for the first time, Ukraine received a full package of conditions necessary for accession to the EU.

Earlier, in December, the Ukrainian side had already received benchmarks for clusters 1 “ Fundamentals of the EU accession process “, 2 “ Internal market” and 6 “ External relations”.

The government states that the next stage will be the fulfillment of certain requirements and the gradual closure of negotiation clusters. After that, Ukraine will be able to proceed to signing the EU accession treaty .

The Cabinet of Ministers plans to implement the necessary reforms and regularly report to the EU. The received documents with conditions have already been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada for further work.

It was previously reported that Ukraine failed to fulfill one of its obligations under the Ukraine Facility program – the National Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment (NLAR) was not conducted.

As a reminder, Deputy Prime Minister for EU and NATO Accession Taras Kachka stated that some European Union countries are suggesting that Ukraine wait 10-20 years before joining the EU.
