Ukraine has agreed on a new package of missiles for its Patriot air defense systems. President Volodymyr Zelensky called the decision very important, but did not disclose who would provide the missiles.
Zelenskyy stated this during a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian community in the United States.
“Today we agreed, I won’t say with whom, on a package of missiles for Patriot systems. An important decision, very important. There is a result,” the president said.
Zelensky did not specify how many missiles would be included in the package and when Ukraine would be able to receive them.
During the meeting, the president also spoke about the work of Ukrainian diplomacy, interaction with US President Donald Trump and his team, and efforts to end the war.
It was previously reported that Poland is preparing a new package of military aid to Ukraine worth a total of 50 million euros. Part of the funds will be directed to air defense equipment.
In addition,the Finnish government will provide Ukraine with the 34th military aid package worth a total of about 290 million euros. In terms of funding, it is the second largest package from Helsinki.
