Ukraine has begun distributing UAH 1,500 in support payments: who will receive the assistance?

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has begun distributing a one-time cash benefit of 1,500 hryvnias to pensioners and recipients of social benefits.

This was announced by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denis Ulyutin .

According to him, the first payments are already being received by approximately 540,000 people, whose pensions are being delivered by Ukrposhta . In total, assistance is planned to be paid to approximately 13 million citizens by the end of April.

An additional payment of 1,500 hryvnia is provided for:

• pensioners under compulsory state pension insurance;
• people with disabilities;
• low-income families;
• internally displaced persons;
• families with children already receiving state social assistance.

The Ministry emphasized that no additional applications are required; funds will be credited automatically through banks or delivered through post offices.

As a reminder, a number of changes will come into effect in Ukraine on April 1st – pension recalculations, new payments, updated sick leave rules, increased excise taxes, and digitalization of mobilization.
