Ukraine has changed the procedure for voluntary mobilization: what is known

Ukraine has introduced a new procedure for voluntary conscription during mobilization. Now, those wishing to join the army can register directly through the chosen military unit, without contacting the territorial recruitment and social support center.

This was reported by the Kyiv City CCC and the Joint Venture.

From now on, the candidate independently interacts with the military unit, undergoes an interview, and, in case of a positive decision, submits an application to the commander about his desire to serve.

After that, the commander of the military unit issues a referral to undergo a military medical examination. From the moment of receipt, the volunteer cannot be forcibly mobilized for at least five days.

After passing the VLK, the candidate arrives at the military unit to be registered for service, and if necessary, undergoes basic combined arms training.

The CCC emphasized that the new mechanism currently applies only to citizens who voluntarily call up for mobilization. The current registration procedure continues to apply for military service under a contract.
