Ukraine has changed the rules for booking military conscripts: what you need to know

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law that allows defense-industrial complex enterprises to reserve men with the status of “wanted” or “not registered.” The document defines the procedure for booking such workers and sets restrictions on the terms of validity of this decision.
This is stated in the bill card No. 4630-IX .
According to the adopted law, the reservation of military-liable employees of defense-industrial complex enterprises is possible even if there are problems with military registration.
However , such a reservation is applied only once a year and does not exempt a person from liability for violating accounting rules.
The document also stipulates that when hiring for defense sector enterprises , the maximum reservation period will be 45 days . After this period, the employer has the right to dismiss the employee if he does not eliminate the violation of military registration within the established time frame.
It is worth emphasizing that the law enters into force upon its official publication.
By the way, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has expanded the list of categories of persons eligible for deferment from mobilization in the “Reserve+” application.
Let us remind you that a new opportunity has appeared in the “Reserve+” mobile application – online registration of a deferment from mobilization for parents of children with disabilities, regardless of the child’s age.
It was previously reported that Ukraine may introduce a new basis for deferring mobilization . The initiative provides for exemption from conscription for citizens who have sheltered at least two internally displaced persons free of charge.
As you know, the Government of Ukraine has introduced automatic extension of military deferments and the ability to issue documents in digital format. This decision will simplify the process for over 600 thousand citizens and reduce the burden on territorial recruitment centers.
