Ukraine has issued a yellow alert due to dense fog.

On the night of Sunday, November 2, and in the morning, dense fog is expected in several regions of Ukraine.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.

In this regard, a yellow danger level has been declared.

According to rescuers, fog will be observed throughout the country, except for the western regions, as well as Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Odesa. Visibility in some places may be reduced to 200-500 meters, which could impede traffic.

“Drivers, be careful behind the wheel, keep your distance, and obey the speed limit! Pedestrians, cross the road only at designated places and make sure you are clearly visible,” the State Emergency Service urged.

Recommendations for drivers:

• reduce your speed – it should be half the length of the visible section of the road;

• avoid sudden maneuvers;

• keep a safe distance;

• Turn on your low beam headlights and, if possible, your fog lights.

Recommendations for pedestrians:

• Cross the road only in designated places and when the traffic light is permitted;

• Do not run out onto the roadway without making sure it is safe;

• Wear clothing or accessories with reflective elements to be visible in fog.
