Ukraine has lifted restrictions on traveling abroad for all women

Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko announced the lifting of restrictions on crossing the state border for all women working in state authorities, local governments, state enterprises and courts. The decision provides for free travel for this category, regardless of their positions.
She wrote about this in Telegram .
According to Svyridenko, the government has lifted restrictions on border crossings for all women without exception.
She noted that now women working in government agencies will be able to freely cross the state border, regardless of their position.
“The border crossing restriction has been lifted for all women without exception,” said Yulia Svyridenko.
Previously, restrictions applied to a number of positions , including members of the government, deputy ministers, representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine, people’s deputies, judges, and other categories of officials.
The list also included employees of law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor’s office, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, as well as heads of state-owned enterprises.
It is noted that the current martial law rules for other categories of citizens, in particular conscripted men aged 18 to 60, remain unchanged.
Recall that as of January 2026, 5.6 million Ukrainians were abroad due to the war , which is 400 thousand more than at the end of 2024. At the same time, in 2025, the rate of net departure across the western border decreased by 34% compared to 2024.
