Ukraine has returned another 185 soldiers from Russian captivity.

Ukraine conducted another prisoner exchange, during which 185 Ukrainian defenders and one civilian were returned home.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this.

Those discharged include service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine , the National Guard of Ukraine , and the State Border Service of Ukraine . Privates, sergeants, and officers who participated in the defense of Mariupol and Azovstal, as well as those who carried out combat missions in the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kyiv, and Kursk sectors, have returned to Ukraine.

Some of the soldiers had been in captivity since 2022 and spent several years in captivity.

The Ukrainian authorities thanked everyone involved in organizing and conducting the exchanges, as well as the international partners who facilitated the return of citizens home.

The contribution of Ukrainian military personnel, thanks to their successful actions on the front, is particularly noted. They are helping to replenish the exchange fund and create conditions for the release of prisoners.

The government emphasized that the return of Ukrainians from Russian captivity remains one of the state’s top priorities, and work to free all citizens continues daily.
