Ukraine has simplified the transfer of housing for displaced people: details

In Ukraine, state and municipal buildings and dormitories will be able to be transferred for the residence of displaced persons without auctions and for a symbolic fee of 1 hryvnia. The Verkhovna Rada has adopted a corresponding law.

This is stated in the bill cardNo. 15579.

233 MPs voted for the document. The law should remove legal obstacles that have so far prevented the full use of state and municipal property for the accommodation of IDPs.

These are entire houses and dormitories that communities will be able to rent out for 1 hryvnia without holding an auction.

After that, international partners will be able to invest in the repair and development of such facilities to prepare them for the residence of displaced people.

According to Frolov, some of these projects are already ready to be launched. It is expected that houses and dormitories will be renovated before winter and thousands of IDP families will be settled there.
