Ukraine has imposed sanctions against dictator Alexander Lukashenko. Kyiv will step up its efforts to counter all forms of Minsk’s support for Russian aggression and will work with international partners to ensure the sanctions have a global impact.

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced this.

Zelenskyy stated that in the second half of 2025, Russia deployed a repeater system for controlling attack drones in Belarus. This, he claimed, significantly increased the Russian army’s ability to strike Ukraine’s northern regions—from the Kyiv region to Volyn.

The President emphasized that Russia could not have carried out some of the attacks, including those on energy facilities and railway infrastructure, without Belarus’s assistance.

According to Zelensky, more than three thousand Belarusian enterprises are involved in supporting Russia’s war effort, supplying equipment, machinery, and critical components, including for missile production.

The president also highlighted the development of infrastructure for the deployment of the Oreshnik medium-range missiles in Belarus. He noted that Minsk has not only provided its territory for this system but also continues to supply Russia with components, assemblies, and mechanical parts for this weapon.

Zelenskyy emphasized that such cooperation poses a threat not only to Ukraine, but to all of Europe.

As a reminder, the Russian Oreshnik missile system has entered combat duty in Belarus .

As is known, Russia has almost completed the deployment of Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missiles to Belarus, which poses a direct threat to a number of European countries.
