Ukraine will temporarily suspend fire in the occupied city of Oleshky in the Kherson region from 3 a.m. on October 27 to allow humanitarian aid to be delivered to residents who remain there and preparations to be made for their evacuation.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.

The military stressed that the silence regime applies only for the duration of the humanitarian operation. This involves delivering aid to local residents and creating conditions for civilians to move freely from Oleshki.

The General Staff also asked people not to spread rumors and unverified information about the operation. This especially concerns the routes, times, and places of movement of people and humanitarian columns.

Ukrainians were urged to follow official messages to avoid putting civilians at risk.

The General Staff assured that the Defense Forces are doing everything possible to help Oleshki residents and ensure their safety.

The Ukrainian military previously delivered humanitarian aid to occupied Oleshki for the second time, handing over almost 4 tons of food, medicine, and baby kits to residents.

In addition, Russia is preparing staged videos featuring residents of the occupied town of Oleshki in the Kherson region, who are planned to be forced to talk about the supposedly prosperous life in the town. This is how Moscow is trying to deny reports of a humanitarian catastrophe in the occupied territory.

A humanitarian catastrophe is also ongoing in the temporarily occupied Oleshki in the Kherson region. About 2,000 people remain in the city, facing acute shortages of food and medicine, and their ability to leave is effectively blocked.
