On Saturday, June 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy shared several important remarks during a media briefing.

In particular, he stated that Ukraine is actively preparing for the mass production of its Sapsan ballistic missiles. Zelenskyy confirmed that successful tests of the weapon had already taken place, and the current goal is to scale up production.

The president also addressed military aid from Israel. According to him, one Patriot system was sent to the United States for refurbishment, but it has not yet arrived in Ukraine.

“We agreed with him (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu – ed.) that Ukraine would be able to purchase Barak-8 systems — strong analogues of American systems. We agreed that we would move forward along this path,” Zelenskyy said.

Among other remarks, the head of state stated that ongoing dialogue between the United States and Russia encourages a “warm conversation,” which ultimately benefits Putin.

He responded to U.S. signals about potential reductions in aid to Kyiv. The president stressed that any attempt to place Ukraine and Russia on equal footing is a “deeply unfair” decision.

Zelenskyy also condemned the U.S. Secretary of State’s congratulations on Russia Day, calling it a regrettable and unpleasant gesture.

Additionally, the Ukrainian president commented on when negotiations with the Russian side might resume. While no specific date has been set, he said they would take place after further prisoner exchanges.

At the same time, he criticized the Russian Federation’s so-called peace proposals, describing them as an ultimatum deliberately framed to ensure Ukraine could not accept it.
