The military command is working on introducing new principles for distributing personnel between combat brigades.
This was announced by the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Colonel Pavlo Palisa, after a conversation with the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andriy Gnatov.
Each brigade must receive a predictable number of recruits
According to Palisa, the new system should ensure that service members are sent directly to the units where they will serve, without further chaotic transfers.
“A soldier must show up exactly where he’ll be serving. And from day one, he must know: this is my unit, this is my commander, this is my team,” he noted.
The brigades will strengthen their own training capabilities
Many combat units already have their own training facilities and instructors. According to the official, these capabilities need to be expanded so that brigades can independently accept new recruits and provide them with high-quality training.
Where such resources do not yet exist, they will be created.
Palisa emphasized that the training centers will not disappear; the transition will be gradual.
Commanders demand fair and predictable distribution
The official emphasized that both brigade commanders and corps commanders advocate for a unified, fair, and understandable system that will allow for rotation and training planning, rather than relying on “manual decisions.”
Preparing solutions for Headquarters
Palisa announced that he and Gnatov will soon hold a joint meeting to agree on the figures, mechanisms, and stages of implementing the new system.
According to him, the possible solutions will be submitted to the next meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.
“The main thing is that the solution actually works and helps those who are at zero today and those who will be back on track tomorrow,” Palisa concluded.
