Ukraine is ready to stop attacks on Russia’s critical infrastructure if Moscow does not also attack Ukrainian energy, port and other important facilities. International partners must guarantee the implementation of this agreement.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to him, Ukraine has already offered its partners an agreement that should stop attacks on critical infrastructure.

This primarily concerns energy, ports, logistics, food facilities, and other infrastructure on which people’s lives depend.

Zelensky noted that Russia daily attacks Ukrainian energy, port infrastructure and logistics, as well as warehouses with food and medicine.

At the same time, Ukraine is not sure that Moscow is ready to adhere to such an agreement.

“If partners are ready to ensure Russia’s real desire not to strike at our electricity, our other energy facilities, critical infrastructure, and food movement, then we are, of course, ready to ensure the corresponding absence of our strikes,” the president said.

Zelensky stressed that such an agreement should be long-term, not a temporary pause for the duration of the Russian “elections.”

The President believes that stopping strikes on critical infrastructure could be the first step towards de-escalation and ending the war.

Recall, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine agreed not to attack Russian energy facilities, and Russia agreed to do the same.
