Ukraine is ready to refrain from strikes on Moscow for the next three days — Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to refrain from strikes on Moscow until the end of Saturday, as well as on Sunday and Monday. According to him, Kyiv expects Russia to refrain from strikes on Kyiv in return.

According to Zelensky, American representatives have already begun working with the Russian side. Ukraine is ready to adhere to the regime of cessation of air strikes on cities involved in the negotiation process.
“From now until the end of this day on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, Ukraine is ready to refrain from strikes on Moscow, and we expect the Russians to strike on Kyiv,” Zelenskyy said.
The President also reported on reports by Defense Minister Yevheniy Khmara and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapaty on the situation at the front, the dynamics of threats in Ukrainian airspace, and defensive operations.
Zelensky added that the plan of diplomatic events for September 6 in Kyiv with the participation of the American team has been approved. Ukraine is waiting for Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner and is ready for a meaningful conversation.
Earlier, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, reported that Ukraine had sent a proposal for a ceasefire to the Russian side and it had been presented to Russian President Vladimir Putin, but there had been no further reaction from the Russian Federation.
The day before, US President’s special representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner arrived in Moscow on Saturday, September 5. The American envoys are scheduled to hold talks with Vladimir Putin.
Recall that US President Donald Trump said that his representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner went to Moscow with a proposal to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, American negotiators have done a lot of work and should try to reach an agreement.
