Ukraine lost a MiG-29 fighter jet in the Poltava region: the pilot managed to eject

On the night of June 27, the Ukrainian Air Force lost contact with a MiG-29 fighter jet that was performing a combat mission over the Poltava region. The pilot successfully ejected and was evacuated to a medical facility.

This was reported by the press service of the Air Force.

According to the Air Force, the MiG-29 fighter jet was performing a combat mission in the skies over the Poltava region. The circumstances and causes of the loss of the aircraft are currently being established.

“We confirm the loss of the aircraft, however, the Ukrainian pilot successfully ejected, contacted the search and rescue team, and was promptly transported to a medical facility for examination and necessary assistance,” the Air Force reported.

The Air Force noted that after ejecting, the pilot contacted the search and rescue team and was promptly evacuated for examination and necessary medical assistance.

Let us recall that on the evening of June 16 , a plane crash involving a Su-24M front-line bomber of the 7th Petro Franko Tactical Aviation Brigade occurred in the Khmelnytskyi region.
