Ukraine managed to rescue another group of children from the occupied territories
A group of Ukrainian children and teenagers were returned from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia. The return took place as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative of the President of Ukraine with the support of the Save Ukraine team.
This is reported by Bring Kids Back UA.
Among those rescued is nine-year-old Alina. Her family did not dare to leave for a long time, because the girl’s father is a former soldier. Russian soldiers regularly came to the family to search, interrogate and intimidate. Any attempt to seek help could have serious consequences.
Sixteen-year-old Mia lived in a village that was constantly under shelling. Russian drones dropped munitions on houses and yards. When the girl took a picture of a destroyed house nearby, the occupiers came to her and called the FSB. They forbade her from documenting the destruction and threatened her with punishment.
Seventeen-year-old Yevhen spent all his school years under occupation. He was forced to study in a cadet class, attend propaganda events and so-called educational conversations. The boy understood that after he came of age, the occupiers would try to forcibly mobilize him into the Russian army.
Sixteen-year-old Matvey and his eight-year-old sister Alice were also returned to Ukraine. Due to pressure from the occupation authorities, the family was forced to send their children to a Russian school, where they were taught propaganda and humiliated Ukraine. When Matvey’s details were transferred to the Russian military enlistment office, the family decided to leave urgently.
The message expressed gratitude to all partners and volunteers who helped save Ukrainian children from the occupation.
It was previously reported that 15 people who were in Russia and temporarily occupied territories returned to Ukraine. Most of them are people with limited mobility.
We will remind, a young mother and her baby were rescued from the occupation . When the woman refused to receive a Russian passport, the so-called “guardianship services” tried to take her newborn son.
