Ukraine is awaiting a decision from the International Monetary Fund’s Board of Directors on a new tranche of $690 million. The meeting to approve the payment is planned to be held by mid-July.

This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko after a meeting with IMF First Deputy Managing Director Dan Katz.

According to her, the parties discussed the results of the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program and further steps in cooperation.

“The common task is to use the preserved macro-financial stability in the country as a basis for attracting private investment, business development, and large-scale reconstruction of Ukraine,” Svyrydenko noted.

The talks also discussed preparations for future IMF program reviews and the implementation of structural reforms. The government expects these measures to help strengthen the country’s financial stability and create conditions for economic recovery.

The EFF program provides support for Ukraine during the war and post-war reconstruction, and receiving the next tranche depends on fulfilling the conditions agreed with the fund.
