Ukraine may receive old Patriot systems

Ukraine can expect to receive old Patriot air defense systems, one of which was given by Israel to the US for restoration. However, as of now, this system has not yet arrived in Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during a conversation with journalists.
According to him, Israel had a certain number of such systems that could be put in order. The Ukrainian side counted on about four systems, although the exact number is not specified. It is known that Israel transferred one of the systems to the United States for technical maintenance, but it has not yet arrived in Ukraine.
The President noted that he was grateful for the intention to provide this system, but stressed that a specific transfer had not yet taken place. If it had already been in Ukraine, he would have directly said that Israel had transferred it directly.
In addition, Zelensky mentioned preliminary agreements with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the purchase of Barak-8 anti-aircraft systems. The negotiations took place before Hamas attacked Israel. After the war in the Middle East began, these negotiations were practically stopped, and Israel concentrated on its own security.
Let us recall that earlier the United States of America approved the transfer of 125 long-range artillery missiles from Germany and 100 missiles for the Patriot air defense system to Ukraine.
