Ukraine offered Russia an energy truce – Zelensky

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine offered Russia a simple option – for both sides to stop attacks on energy.
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an evening video address .
According to Zelensky, if Russia stops attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure, Ukraine will do the same. The proposal was conveyed to the Russian side via the United States.
The president added that the situation on world markets, in particular the oil market, is currently unstable due to events surrounding Iran. In such conditions, Russia can earn more from oil, but the Ukrainian strikes limit these opportunities.
He also thanked the Ukrainian military for their accuracy and their partners for the sanctions that reduce Russia’s export revenues.
“If Russia is ready to stop, we will respond in kind,” Zelensky said.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared his readiness for any ceasefire format, including for Easter. Ukraine will agree to a truce provided that Russia completely stops its attacks.
As a reminder, the Kremlin responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal for an Easter truce.
