Ukraine is ready to join in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz and strengthening shipping security.
This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, citing a statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga said that Ukraine’s experience in countering maritime blockades could be useful for partners in the Middle East.
According to him, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz is similar to what previously happened in the Black Sea during Russia’s actions.
Sybiga noted that Ukraine has already proven the effectiveness of its approaches—in particular, the use of naval drones and an active strategy to break the blockade.
The minister also reported that Ukrainian specialists are already working in Middle Eastern countries to strengthen security cooperation.
The Foreign Ministry emphasizes that modern conflicts are closely interconnected, so Ukraine’s experience can help guarantee freedom of navigation in other regions.
Ukraine is ready to cooperate with international partners to end blockades and ensure the safe passage of ships.
As a reminder, French President Emmanuel Macron announced an upcoming mission to gradually restore shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
