Ukraine once again confirmed its readiness for an “Easter truce”

On Wednesday, April 8, Ukraine again announced its readiness to cease fire and attacks on energy for the Easter holidays.
This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine, citing Foreign Ministry spokesman Georgy Tykhy.
“We confirm Ukraine’s readiness for the Easter truce. It remains in force. And for the energy truce,” the official assured.
According to him, Ukraine is ready to act in a mirror manner on the issue of a ceasefire. For this, the Russian side must stop the attacks.
Tykhyi added that similar agreements have worked even in the Middle East with the Iranian regime, which has demonstrated non-constructiveness for many years.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared his readiness for any format of ceasefire , in particular for Easter. Ukraine will agree to a truce provided that Russia completely stops attacks.
The Kremlin later responded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s proposal for an Easter truce. According to Peskov, Moscow does not support the idea of a ceasefire for the holidays .
