In Ukraine, starting September 1, they plan to introduce free hot meals for students of all grades.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko after a meeting with the heads of regional military administrations.
According to her, all children in front-line communities, as well as students in grades 1-4 across the country, are now receiving free hot lunches.
The next stage should be to expand the program to students in grades 5-11.
To prepare for the launch, the government has already allocated 1 billion hryvnia to modernize school cafeterias.
73 school canteens in various regions of Ukraine will receive funding.
