The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is initiating amendments to the Criminal Code, which propose establishing criminal liability for military personnel violating the established time limits for staying outside the country.
This was stated by the government representative in parliament, Taras Melnychuk.
According to him, the changes involve supplementing Article 332 of the Criminal Code, which concerns the illegal transportation of persons across the state border. It is planned to introduce liability for:
-
illegal crossing of the state border during martial law or a state of emergency outside checkpoints;
-
obstructing the construction of border infrastructure, damaging or destroying it;
-
Violation of the established period of stay outside of Ukraine by conscripts and military personnel.
It is also planned to establish the obligation for military personnel (conscripts and reservists) to comply with the rules for leaving and staying abroad.
Let us recall that in June, the National Police of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine exposed a powerful criminal group that sold counterfeit documents and copies of the official mobile applications “Action” and “Reserve+”.
Earlier it was reported that employees of the State Bureau of Investigation completed a pre-trial investigation into a law enforcement officer from Chernivtsi Oblast, suspected of organizing the illegal transfer of conscripts across the state border . The indictment has already been sent to court.
