The Southeast European Cooperative Initiative (SECI) has donated 300 generators to Ukraine, which will be distributed among several cities.
The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine reported this.
According to the agency, the equipment will be installed in hospitals, maternity hospitals, kindergartens, schools, and other social institutions. The total cost of the grant exceeds €417,000, and the generators’ combined capacity is 1,650 kW.
The equipment will be sent first to the cities most vulnerable to Russian attacks on their energy infrastructure. The generators will be distributed as follows: Kyiv will receive 100 units, Odesa 50, Sumy 50, Kherson 40, Mykolaiv 50, and Lviv 10.
The Ministry of Development noted that SECI is providing this equipment to help residents of frontline areas survive the winter period under Russian aggression.
As a reminder, on the night of February 7, Russian troops launched attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, specifically substations, overhead power lines, and the Burshtyn and Dobrotvir thermal power plants.
