Ukraine received 7 IRIS-T air defense systems from Germany: how many more complexes to expect

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Oleksiy Makeyev reported that Berlin has transferred 7 IRIS-T air defense systems to Kyiv.
He spoke about this in an interview with “European Truth”.
According to the ambassador, a total of 18 air defense systems have been ordered. Thus, Ukraine expects another 11 IRIS-Ts.
“I would like to emphasize that each system that is currently being produced for us in Germany includes three SLM launchers, i.e. medium-range, and two SLS launchers, i.e. short-range. This is a single complex,” he explained.
At the same time, Makeyev emphasized that the corresponding installations are ineffective for countering ballistic missiles, as they have a different purpose.
As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine has concluded a long-term agreement with Germany for the supply of modern IRIS-T anti-aircraft missile systems.
It was previously reported that Germany will soon send another IRIS-T anti-aircraft system .
