President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the day before, Ukraine received PAC-3 missiles from Germany, necessary for Patriot air defense systems.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
Zelensky confirmed that during the last meeting in the Ramstein format, the partners agreed that Ukraine would receive about 35 missiles for Patriot systems.
“It wasn’t from one country, let’s be honest, it was from several countries,” the president explained.
He noted that this is one of the air defense packages that Ukraine negotiates with partners “from time to time.”
“We would have liked more, it turned out the way it did. The German part of these missiles went in yesterday, thank you for that,” Zelenskyy concluded.
Earlier, the president expressed concern about the continued supply of Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine due to high missile consumption in the Middle East.
Recall that Germany previously announced a shortage of air defense missiles for further transfer to Ukraine and called on other European countries to be more actively involved in supplies.
As reported, Yuriy Igrat, head of the communications department of the Air Force Command, said that Ukraine lacks missiles for air defense systems, so sometimes some complexes are empty.
