Ukraine received a new tranche from the EU: how much money did Europe transfer?

On Monday, December 22, the European Union transferred 2.3 billion euros to Ukraine as part of the sixth regular tranche under the Ukraine Facility program.

This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svirydenko.

According to her, Ukraine has completed eight “reform steps” to receive funds from the sixth tranche, and one additional step within the fourth.

“We have already successfully implemented more than 60 measures of the Ukraine Plan — this is confirmation of our commitment to reforms and the European course,” the official noted.

Since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion, the European Union has transferred 70.7 billion euros in financial support to Ukraine. In particular, Kyiv received 26.7 billion euros under the Ukraine Facility program, of which more than 10.6 billion in 2025.

As Svyrydenko said, thanks to the funds received, Ukraine supports the economy and ensures social and macro-financial stability in times of war.

“We are grateful to the European Union and all partners for their consistent support for Ukraine,” the Prime Minister summed up.

As previously reported, Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund agreed on a new 4-year support program worth $8.2 billion.

As a reminder, Ukraine received a second tranche of 100 million euros from the Council of Europe Development Bank to support internally displaced persons.
