Ukraine has received new mobile simulators for training F-16 fighter pilots. Only a few such systems exist in the world due to their high cost, and some are already in operation in Ukraine.

This was announced by Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov.

According to him, the new simulators complement the existing fixed-base training systems and enable continuous pilot training according to NATO standards. They enable pilots to practice complex combat scenarios before actual sorties, specifically training decision-making, situational awareness in aerial combat, and performing various combat missions in a simulated environment.

Fedorov noted that the simulators were specifically designed to meet Ukrainian requirements and technical specifications, and were adapted to the country’s geographic features. One of the main advantages of the systems is their mobility—the equipment can be quickly relocated, which is crucial for security during Russian attacks.

The Minister also expressed gratitude to the Coalition Air Force partners, the governments of the Netherlands, the Czech Republic and Austria, as well as the development companies that joined in the implementation of this project.

Previously , Pryamyi reported that the Belgian Ministry of Defense plans to transfer all of its F-16 fighters to Ukraine by 2029. The pace of delivery depends on the arrival of F-35 aircraft, which are intended to replace the F-16s in the Belgian Air Force.

Ukraine also agreed with Belgium and Spain on key areas of defense cooperation ahead of the Ramstein meeting. These include strengthening air defense, developing unmanned systems, and providing the front with long-range artillery.
