Ukraine releases defenders who have been held captive since 2022

On Thursday, June 26, Ukraine resumed another round of prisoner exchanges. Most of the servicemen had been in captivity since 2022.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to him, most of those exchanged had been in captivity since 2022. In particular, servicemen from the Armed Forces, the National Guard, and the State Border Service were released.

Earlier, on June 20, Ukraine and Russia conducted a new prisoner exchange. Most of the soldiers had been there for more than two years .

As a reminder, on June 19, Ukraine and Russia held a new prisoner exchange . Most of the Ukrainian soldiers who were returned had been in captivity since 2022.
