Ukraine returns children from occupation: 9-year-old boy among them

Five more children were returned from the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Alexander Prokudin.

Among them are four children aged 9 to 16 who were left without parental care, as well as one adult from the same category.

One of the rescued is a nine-year-old boy who lived under constant shelling for almost four years because his family could not leave the occupied village.

“Russian shells regularly flew past his house, and mines repeatedly fell right in the yard,” Prokudin wrote.

We also managed to evacuate a girl who was only able to leave the occupied territory after reaching adulthood.

“She was left without water and food while Russian soldiers aggressively pursued civilians, including young girls, on the streets of the city,” the head of the OVA noted.

All those rescued are currently safe. They are in assistance centers, where they are receiving psychological support, housing, and assistance with documents.

The return took place as part of the Bring Kids Back UA initiative with the support of the Save Ukraine charity organization.

As a reminder, Ukraine has returned seven more children and adolescents from the temporarily occupied territories . They are already safe.
