Ukraine-Russia negotiations: Zelenskyy named the date and place of the new meeting

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the next round of talks between Ukraine and Russia could take place as early as next week in the United States.

He said this in an interview with Bloomberg.

According to him, a new meeting could take place on February 17 or 18 in the United States. However, the Russian side has not yet confirmed its participation in the next round of negotiations.

It is planned that representatives of Ukraine and the Russian Federation will discuss the American proposal to create a free economic zone as a buffer territory in eastern Donbas.

“Neither side is thrilled with the idea of a free economic zone — neither the Russians nor us,” Zelensky added.

It was previously reported that during a previous trilateral meeting , delegations from Ukraine, the United States, and Russia agreed to exchange 314 prisoners.

Recall that on February 5, regular negotiations between Ukraine, the United States, and Russia, which took place in Abu Dhabi and lasted two days, ended .
