Ukraine has sent three teams of experts to the Middle East. They will work in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during a conversation with journalists.
According to him, Ukrainian specialists are sharing their experience in countering massive drone attacks and the operation of air defense systems.
In response, Ukraine expects to receive missiles for the Patriot systems, in particular PAC-2 and PAC-3.
Zelensky noted that Kyiv offers cooperation to the countries of the region in the fight against drones.
The President also recalled that Ukraine had previously offered the United States the so-called drone deal – a format for cooperation in the field of interceptors and drones.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine’s experience in combating Shahed attacks could be useful to other countries.
“We have already figured out that without our military, our operators, without our software – without all this, the interceptors simply do not work,” Zelensky said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine sent an expert team and interceptor drones to help protect American military bases in Jordan . The decision was made after the United States requested assistance.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that Ukraine will send a group of experts to the Persian Gulf countries to train the military to shoot down attack drones . The first group of Ukrainian specialists is scheduled to leave for the region on March 9.
