Ukraine struck an aircraft repair plant in Taganrog and the Afipsky Oil Refinery.
On the night of November 29, Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of deep strikes against strategic targets in Russia.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this.
According to military reports, the Beriev Aircraft Repair Plant in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, where Tu-95 strategic bombers and A-50 airborne early warning aircraft are modernized, was damaged. A fire has been reported in one of the workshops where the Tu-95s were being repaired. The final consequences of the fire are being determined.
Another target of the attack was the Afipsky oil refinery in the Krasnodar region, which supplies fuel to Russian occupation forces. Explosions and a subsequent fire were reported at the target site. The extent of the damage is still being determined.
The General Staff notes that the strikes were aimed at reducing the military-economic potential of the Russian Federation.
The oil refinery was hit by operators of the 1st Separate SBS Center—formed on the basis of the 14th Separate Unmanned Aerial Combat Regiment—in cooperation with Special Operations Forces units. The facility is located approximately 380 km from the front line.
As the SIS noted, the Afipsky Oil Refinery is one of the key refining facilities in southern Russia. Its annual design capacity is approximately 6.25 million tons of oil, which is approximately 2.1% of Russia’s total refining volume. The refinery produces gasoline, diesel fuel, and jet fuel, which are actively used by the Russian military.
Previously, local residents of Ryazan reported at least ten powerful explosions near the plant.
Ukrainian drones reportedly attacked the energy system in the occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.
